I want a LitNet Tutor!

Complete a LitNet Learner intake form here or contact LitNet’s  Director of Tutoring, Miguel Silva, via WHATSAPP at (413) 347-2321. He speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

LitNet tutors support people in learning English, improving their English, preparing for high school equivalency tests (GED or HiSet), basic education like improving one’s reading or writing skills or preparing for a placement or certification test, and preparing for the US Citizenship exam and interview.

If you are interested in getting matched with a FREE LitNet tutor, please complete the form below, or contact LitNet’s Director of Tutoring, Miguel Silva,  (English/Spanish/Portuguese) at [email protected] or via phone  (text or WHATSAPP) at (413) 347-2321. Miguel can tell you more about how things work. He will send you a Learner Intake Form so we can know more about you, your goals, and your availability.

Once your intake form has been received, we will invite you to meet with us to engage in a language proficiency assessment. Then we will begin to think of the right pairing for you. Sometimes we find a match very quickly!  Other times, the match can take several weeks. We try to match learners with tutors as quickly as we can, but we highly value a “right” match.

When we have a match for you, we will contact you and provide support in coordinating the first meetings.

Tutors and learners typically meet for 1-2 hours per week in-person at the various libraries across our county. Some tutor and learner pairs work remotely, and some work in a hybrid manner.

Remember, if you have questions at any time, you can always call the LitNet office for help at (413) 347-2321.
