Why LitNet's mission matters or why it resonates with me:

The ability to speak, read, and write is the great equalizer, as it opens up doors that might otherwise not be available. Additionally, it provides the ability to more readily access basic human services. I was fortunate to be born into a good zip code, with access to education, books, reading, and writing. Literacy is a human right and LitNet gives me the opportunity to help others on their literacy journey.

Biography:

Glenn joined the LitNet Board in 2025, after retiring from a career in communications, events management, and corporate citizenship at various organizations, including MIT, Timberland, Fidelity Investments, Vistaprint, and Lonza. He is currently a writer, having been published in the Boston Globe, Loch Raven Review, The Stray Branch, The Wise Owl, and SIX WORD MEMOIRS.

Glenn partnered with numerous nonprofits (Teach for America, Seacoast United Way, Gather Food Pantry, Krempels Brain Injury Center, Grahamtastic Connection, Seacoast Science Center) in providing employee volunteer opportunities and company donations/sponsorships. He has served on committees, volunteered, and supported Rwanda Youth Partnership, American Red Cross, Literacy Volunteers of America, Our Neighbors’ Table Pantry, and numerous Friends of the Library. For his fundraising and clothing drive efforts in supporting Kosovo refugees, he was awarded the American Red Cross Seacoast Chapter Local Hero Award.
