Join our dedicated group of over 150 tutors helping learners in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Adult Basic Education, High School Equivalency Certificates, and Citizenship test prep. No experience necessary, just patience and a willingness to learn. Help change lives and ensure members of our community succeed and thrive.

If you are 73 or older you can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as LitNet without having to pay income taxes on the money. Please consult your financial advisor for details.

Give the Gift of Literacy
We’re offering an opportunity to make your contribution mean even more by selecting books for our learners. We make it easy – first select from our pre-suggested packages or individual books, then donate the money and we will purchase them. The books will be donated directly for use by tutors and learners.
You can even choose a bookplate with your name on it or dedicated to a loved one.
A favorite resource of many LitNet tutor-learner pairs are easy readers books from the Who HQ Books which includes the following series:

What is the Story of?
These nonfiction series cover incredible stories of various trailblazers, pioneers, and legends, as well as important events. Easy to read, they provide rich content for tutors and adult learners to discuss while learning and improving their English language skills.
