Biography:
Sarah grew up outside of Boston, MA and has lived in the Berkshires for over fifty years. She and her husband started a family business in 1979, Boyd Biomedical, in South Lee, MA. Their three sons now run the family business which manufactures medical devices. Her professional life included teaching elementary education in Silver Spring MD and Sheffield MA for seven years before becoming the Director of Sunshine Nursery School for ten years. Taking a break from teaching Sarah served in an administrative position in the family business. She earned her BA in Education/Sociology at American University in Washington DC. She has served on the boards of the Berkshire Botanical Garden and the Laurel Hill Association before joining the board of LitNet. As a member of the Stockbridge Golf Club and The Lenox Garden Club she has served on various sub committees for those organizations. Sarah has been a LitNet tutor for twenty years while maintaining her love of tennis and gardening.
