The current COVID-19 pandemic has limited LitNet’s capacity to deliver in person one-on-one teaching. For our more advanced ESOL students and those studying for high-school equivalency and citizenship test preparation learning is still taking place online. Unfortunately, this is not the case for our beginner ESOL students. To address this issue, the Board of Directors of LitNet has commissioned an in-depth analysis, currently titled “2020 Pandemic and Beyond: How LitNet can assure its sustainability for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.” Our hope is that once we determine best practices, we can begin training our tutors in September, 2020.
