The Literacy Network (LitNet) has unveiled its revamped website, marking the first major overhaul in eight years. This redesign aims to better serve the county’s immigrant population by providing language assistance, U.S. citizenship information, and other essential resources.
The updated site, developed by Brickhouse Web Design with funding from the Feigenbaum Foundation, boasts enhanced translation capabilities and introduces the “Tutor Cafe.” This innovative feature facilitates communication among the 160+ volunteers, allowing them to share resources, discuss tutoring techniques, and engage in meaningful conversations. Executive Director Leigh Doherty described the transformation as moving from a cluttered old house to a modern, organized home where everything is easily accessible.
