This summer, we have been graced with two Summer Bulldog interns from Yale: Meera and Gui. Meera is Fijian and a first-generation college student who has been helping us research how to support first-time college-goers as well as helping us with the beginning phases of a first-gen college fair. Gui, a Brazilian immigrant, has been doing research to help us better understand the barriers individuals face that keep them from graduating high school. Once Meera and Gui complete their research, it will be shared with LitNet to help us best determine improvements in programming or new programming needed to meet the needs of the community we serve.
