2024 has been a big year for LitNet. We grew the First-Gen program, held our first Career Expo for the immigrant community, opened our satellite office in Pittsfield, and continued to strengthen our 1:1 tutoring programs. We couldn’t have had these successes without you. Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping us grow in this ambitious year. Our 2024 theme has been “strength in partnership,” and this motto has revealed the truth of itself in many ways: learners are stronger with tutors, organizations are stronger when they join forces with peer organizations, and LitNet is stronger when it has the support of community members like you.
Many are wondering how the new presidential administration will impact immigrants in our community. The truth is, we don’t exactly know yet. Regardless, LitNet’s work remains the same: we are here to help people who wish to be conversant in English, who wish to be better readers and stronger communicators, or who seek specific educational goals like going to college. We will continue to help people overcome the financial barriers to becoming U.S. citizens. We will continue to welcome all, including those who have chosen to make a journey to be here. We will continue to share with our neighbors the contributions immigrants offer our community when they are empowered by opportunity, education, and kindness.
We need your help to keep doing all of this. Please, if you haven’t yet contributed to our end-of-year appeal, now is your chance. Give today to help us thrive in 2025 and beyond.
Best wishes for a healthy 2025.
