After years of learning English with her LitNet tutor Barbara Zheutlin, Faittyane Merelle has opened Flame of Brazil, a luxury hair salon in Cheshire specializing in custom-made extensions crafted by hand from 100 percent Brazilian human hair. Originally a salon owner in Brazil before immigrating in 2017, Faittyane is now living out the dream she’s quietly worked toward for years — and she’s already setting her sights on her next big goal: becoming a U.S. citizen.
