LitNet’s Board President Merle and I attended the Volunteer Fair last week. Then we were so proud to be acknowledged at the Berkshire County Recognition Awards earlier this week, hosted by the dynamic mother-daughter duo Martha and Deisy Escobar (LitNet learner and tutor, respectively). We have many events coming up: a tutor appreciation party, our annual Sip, Salsa, Samba celebration, and the one-year anniversary of the opening of the Susan Weintraub Tutor Resource Center.
Our tutoring center bustles with activity daily as more tutor-learner pairs sign up to use our space. It feels good to be in person, active, and present in so much learning, networking, and sharing in the community!
